Go Jauntly here to unlock them London's green space and the hidden gems within
CEO of walking, wayfinding and nature connection app Go Jauntly Hana Sutch is on a mission to make it easier for Londoners to find parks and green spaces close to them.
Go Jauntly helps people discover walks, create their own journeys, and share outdoor adventures with friends and is unlocking hidden gems within green spaces across London.
The disruption caused by covid-19 emphasised just how important such spaces are to residents across the capital and Sutch explains that users are experiencing many benefits.
She said: “I need to unlock these hidden gems for people and make it easier for them to find these incredible parks and green spaces, that you don’t have to travel far to.
“That’s one of the main reasons why we created Go Jauntly. It’s taking physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing and environmental wellbeing, and bringing them all together.
“London is actually 47% green space, and not many people know that. Our ambition is to help everyone find a nature filled walking route within a two-mile radius of their home.”
“We’ll take you on the greenest route from A to B, steer you away from the busy streets where there’s lots of congestion and air pollution, and divert you through the scenic route.
Sutch is the fifth guest to appear on the new Talking Sport & Tech podcast from Sport Tech Hub, who work to bring the power of tech closer to efforts to increase physical activity levels.
Unfortunately, the Go Jauntly founder continues to find herself in a male dominated industry and is only too aware of the challenges that can bring.
“In terms of being a female founder, it’s been an absolute challenge, especially when I flirted with the idea of trying to raise investment,” she added.
“The biggest challenge is around fundraising. Being female, being mixed race, probably wasn’t in my favour.”
