Hosted by Milly Pelmore and Alex Zurita from Sport Tech Hub by London Sport, the series will explore the careers and life stories of these leaders, share advice and learnings from their journeys to-date, and discussing the role of technology as a tool to increase physical activity levels in London and beyond.

Huw Edwards, CEO of ukactive, the not-for-profit health body which exists to get people more active, will be the inaugural guest on Talking Sport & Tech with the first episode launching on May 18.

In the opening episode, Alex and Milly chat to Huw about how his career to-date has been a marriage of politics and sport and how he’s pushing the government for political will behind the sport and physical activity sector.

Over the next six weeks, listeners will also get to hear from Born Barikor (CEO and Founder of Our Parks), Lisa Wainwright (CEO of Sport Recreation Alliance), Baz Moffat (Co-Founder of The Well HQ), Hana Sutch (Co-Founder and CEO of Go Jauntly) and Tim Hollingsworth (CEO of Sport England).

Alex Zurita, Head of Sport Tech Hub by London Sport, said:

“It has been an incredible experience recording the first ever podcast launched by London Sport. Each episode is a fascinating insight into the minds of our wonderful guests who were incredibly open about their experiences.

“We’re really excited to share this series and hopefully motivate the sport and physical activity sector, as well entrepreneurs creating sport technology products, into pushing the sector further and helping more people get active.”

Milly Pelmore, Accelerator and Operations Manager at Sport Tech Hub by London Sport, said:

"I'm delighted we've also been able to catch-up with the entrepreneurs who are building those vital tech products that are keeping people from all walks of live active and making sport and physical activity accessible for all."
